Bug#952830: gedit: Ctrl + l doesn't bring up goto line entry box

Dear Maintainer,

Ctrl + l is supposed to bring up Goto line entry box at the top right

Instead, the cursor moves forward by a character every time I press the
key combination

For now I access Goto line menu manually through gedit's menu option
