This is working fine for me in GNOME 40 and 41 environments (specifically
gnome-shell 40.5+b1 and 41.0-1, with corresponding versions of
gnome-shell-extension-prefs).

Are all packages upgraded to their latest versions from either testing
or unstable? (Specifically, I'm aware of conflicts between libffi7
and libffi8 if libgjs0g and libgirepository-1.0-1 have not both been
upgraded; but they're indirect dependencies, so they don't appear in
your bug report.)

If you run gnome-extensions-app from a terminal, what output does it produce?
