I don't use git-pbuilder regularly myself -- i'm under the impression
that it needs root privileges, which i normally don't want to have for
the user accounts that i build packages under.   Is that wrong?  I'm
happy to learn useful tools.

yes, that sounds like a great idea.  I've subscribed to the wiki page so
that i'll be mailed notifications when it changes.  I encourage others
to do so too.

Eric, do you want to make those changes directly?

I don't want to step on your toes, but i just realized i've got a
git-svn-converted version of gnupg already available on my local
machine.  shall i go ahead and push it?
