Thanks for the reply.  I am aware of your opinion, and also how much
effort you put into GNUstep both within and outside of Debian.  It seems
to me that Debian is not a pure GNUstep set-up and never will be, hence
recommending apps-wrappers is the right thing to do.  Of course, for a
GNUstep oriented distribution you are quite right.  Clearly some Debian
users rely on apps-wrappers, which is why we have bug #240779.

BTW, what browser do you use then?

Perhaps I have something wrong with my set-up then?  Shouldn't it be
able to list archives even if Zipper isn't already running?  That's the
main problem for me.
