[Debian GNUstep maintainers] recent version?

Hello,

It seems from looking at the changelog that the GNUstep packages have  
not been updated for a number of months, is this true?  I am trying to  
port some applications and I require more recent changes that are in  
the GNUstep repository.

I am very familiar with compiling GNUstep and its many dependencies; I  
am mildly familiar with building Debian packages.  Can I help in any  
way? Specifically I would like to be able to build Debian packages  
from the most recent GNUstep source, is there a way for me to access  
the debian packaging files so I can do this myself?

Of course I can compile GNUstep from source outside of the Debian  
packaging system, but the applications I'm porting, I'm also creating  
Debian packages for them, so I want to get the dependencies right.
