The problem seems to be the EOL character that has been modified 
(probably by git).

Apparently this is a known issue: 
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=719363

Unless you now already a solution/workaround for it, I will proceed with 
the repacking (+ds).
