My name is Timothy Karl and I work with Laszlo Kajan on a daily basis
here. We are both on the gridengine Debian team.

Laszlo Kajan and I have finally managed to sit down together and start
bringing your SGE source to a working Debian package.

Thanks for putting in the effort and time in to maintaining and
developing the upstream as well as providing a good starting point for
the Debian-ization of your source.

We have successfully built the Debian packages using your source
snapshot (sge-20121118.tar.gz) and gridengine Debian-ization repo at
http://arc.liv.ac.uk/repos/{git,hg}/gridengine.debian.

At this point, we stumbled over one issue only. There was a missing
build dependency - libhwloc-dev.

Please see the patch below, which will correct the issue:

Perhaps it would be a good idea to change the name from gridengine to
sge. Could you update the Debian-ization with the new name please?

We will next test the built packages on our VM running
Debian-unstable, hopefully sometime this week. We'll let you know what
turns up.
