Sure, no worry.  From Debian's point of view, this is for the next
release after the current one, so no hurry (but it would probably be
nice to backport it for the upcoming release once that is out)

This is the standard work-flow when using git for packaging (as opposed
to when using subversion).

Don't worry about the lintian errors, I or somebody else will take a
look.

Lazlo and I are likely in the same room on the weekend so maybe we can
take a look at it then.

I've cloned the git repo now and will try to build it.
