Outstanding RC bugs are always a reason to update things as long as
they're not removed from Debian.

I've noticed (with joy :-) that there has been some activity on the
pkg-gridengine-devel list to update things to SGE. That's great, and
once it's ready I'd be willing to perform a sponsored upload if the
original maintainers of gridengine don't respond anymore.

However, in the mean time it's Debian's policy to ensure that the things
which are currently in Debian are in, at minimum, a good shape.
