Bug#542053: linux-image-2.6.26-2-686 and -1-686 freeze on accessing initrd

I attempted to consult GRUB maintainers as to whether this could be a
GRUB bug, but cannot post to the list as a non-subscriber.  Until this
is fixed, I will reassign bugs to grub without consultation.
