Bug#587951: grub-pc: install devices don't display correctly in 80 columns

Arthur Marsh arthur.marsh at internode.on.net
Sat Jul 3 07:37:12 UTC 2010

Package: grub-pc Version: 1.98+20100702-1 Severity: normal

When upgrading grub-pc, the install devices debconf menu was more than 80
characters wide to to the long /dev/disk/by-id/ names and disk size
information, and I was unable to see the left edge of the debconf menu
showing which disk grub was going to be installed on.

I worked around the issue by running aptitude in a large framebuffer
window but debconf shouldn't be obscuring selection options from view.
