Source: ghc-mod
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
I'm trying to install ghc-mod but I get following error.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
ghc-mod : Depends: ghc (< 7.8.4+) but 7.10.3-4.1 is to be installed
Recommends: ghc-mod-el (= 5.2.1.2-1) but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
Checking at the tracker ¹ It looks like this package is having this
problem for about ~6 months. I also tried installing package from
experimental but it also fails with following error.
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
ghc-mod : Depends: ghc (< 7.10.2+) but 7.10.3-4.1 is to be installed
Recommends: ghc-mod-el (= 5.3.0.0-3) but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
Probably the right severity for bug is *grave* as this issue renders
package unusable but I'm not quite sure so I've kept it at
*important*. Please consider bumping severity if that is the right
severity.
Cheers,
