Hi,
this is already possible using the xbsh command. In the normal not gui
bsh shell you are right, it would be nice :-)
Theres a way via libreadline-java to provide such functionality. If you
are an experienced user or developer you can try yourself :-) There is
a example/patch for bsh in the source of the libreadline-java package
under contrib/bsh. I haven't tested it myself - but if I find some
time I will try and test it.
