The tomcat4 package does not work out of the box on Sid,
using the Kaffe JVM.

Starting tomcat with
/etc/init.d/tomcat4 start
fails.

The log /var/log/tomcat4/catalina_<date>.log says:

The JAVA_HOME environment variable is not defined correctly
This environment variable is needed to run this program
NB: JAVA_HOME should point to a JDK not a JRE
