Hi,
I read a remark in the third message in this thread where the author
claims that he doesn't see a problem in dropping support for having
multiple versions of Java installed parallely. That would be a problem
for me, as I'm forced to use different JVM's for different purposes,
because the level of support for AMD64 varies across vendors and
versions, none being "perfect."
Other developers might need to have older compilers around to test
compliance against a particular Java version.
