Bug#637450: eclipse-platform: org.osgi.framework.BundleException on Startup, Editor can't be opened

I removed all lines not referring to my home directory in
.eclipse/org.eclipse.platform_3.5.0_155965261/configuration/org.eclipse.equinox.simpleconfigurator/bundles.info,
and then appended the contents of
/usr/lib/eclipse/configuration/org.eclipse.equinox.simpleconfigurator/bundles.info,
but that didn't help.

I also tried to remove the entire .eclipse and then reinstalled the
plugins, but still eclipse does not seem to know anything about PyDev
anymore. There are no more error messages on the console, and PyDev is
listed as installed under "Installed Software", but Eclipse still opens
.py files in gedit and PyDev does not show up in e.g. the preferences
dialog.
