Dear Maintainer,

Tomcat version 7.0.56 suffers from a regression introduced by a
"performance improvement" which has since been reverted in version
7.0.58. This bug causes some web applications to fail to start with a
java.io.EOFException. Please see this bug report for details

Note that Tomcat 8 is also affected before version 8.0.16, according
to the same report.
