We have our own Gitlab instance these days called salsa.debian.org. Just
clone

https://salsa.debian.org/java-team/javatools

and submit merge requests. Still bug reports are a good way to contact
us but especially for documentation bugs there is a much simpler way to
contribute and that's our wiki. Just asking questions on our mailing
list and then improving

is the way forward in my opinion.
