[Pkg-javascript-devel] RFC: vue.js

Hi all,

no it's not a typo: it's really a RFC (request for comment).

I have packaged the vue.js library:
https://salsa.debian.org/js-team/vue.js
but rather than ask for sponsorship from a DD [1] this time I am asking for
comments from ALL members of the js-team, be you a guest or a member, a DM
or a DD.

Also note that I am not yet Cc-ing the ITP because this RFC phase is supposed
to be internal to the js-team.

Please have a look at the vue.js package: maybe you'll spot some error or find
better ways to do things or just ask some question.

The preferred way to provide feedback on vue.js package is via its salsa issue
tracker, you'll see it has already a few issues open:
https://salsa.debian.org/js-team/vue.js/issues

Having a request-for-comments phase before asking the request-for-sponsorship
is part of my proposal aimed at making the js-team uploads better and
ultimately getting our packages faster though NEW, which is described here:
https://alioth-lists.debian.net/pipermail/pkg-javascript-devel/2018-May/thread.html#26131

I have posted this RFC to the mailing list, but the idea is that you can RFC
from the "current ITPs" kanban board:
https://salsa.debian.org/js-team/current_itps/boards

Anybody can RFC, even DDs: just move your ITP in the RFC column !

You can use the salsa wiki of the package to describe the current status as in:
https://salsa.debian.org/js-team/node-yarnpkg/wikis/home
and/or you can create issues (but before you need to turn on the tracker
for your repo [2]).

Note this whole workflow is still experimental and not mandatory !

Paolo

[1] Actually three months ago I had already posted a RFS here:
https://alioth-lists.debian.net/pipermail/pkg-javascript-devel/2018-January/thread.html#24026

[2] By default, the issues tracker is disabled for each new salsa project.
To turn it on, go to project / settings / general:
https://salsa.debian.org/owner/project/edit
then expand Permissions, turn on issues for "Everyone with access", then Save
changes.
