I can try and help out with a few node-* backports. But work is keeping
me busy, so progress would be slow. If it is a team effort, we probably
need a list. Or use the ITP tracker on Gitlab?

I tried uploading the previous npm version from oldstable (1.4) to stretch-backports but it was rejected. Now I need to backport npm 5.8. Let me know if any of you would like to help out.
