Graham, could you do a source-only upload of 0.4.1-2 to experimental?

This fixes the FTBFS on i386 and improves performance on amd64 and i386.

With regard to the test suite, I now think that we should just keep
things as is. An arch-specific list of skipped tests adds complexity
to the Debian package without actually fixing the issues upstream.

I suggest to work together with upstream to fix the armhf and ppc64el
issues as time permits. When the time comes (probably not before 0.5)
we enable the test suite on those archs, too.
