[Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#901970: skanlite: Cannot save images without extension "Failed to save image: No such file or directory"

Dear Maintainer,

Scanning a page bring up a modal window with a view of the resulting
scan.  The Save button then bring up a folder browser asking for a name.
When entering a name with or without an extension (foo or foobar.jpeg)
nothing get saved and a popup states:

 Sorry
 Failed to save image: No such file or directory

That renders the software unusuable.
