Not filing bugs can result in several porters debugging the same issue,
which wastes work.

A bug tagged FTBFS which gets shown at [1] documents that there is
a known issue, and the status of that issue.

It is intended to put pressure on you to fix things more urgently, and 
this bug was not even RC so not fixing it for some time would not even 
have had any consequences.
