Package: exiv2
Version: 0.27.3-3+deb11u1
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
On Debian Stretch and Buster I'm able to run 'exiv2 rm file.tiff'
to remove all metadata from a TIFF file. However, on Debian
Bullseye this only removes some metadata, notably the XMP data
(the whole '<x:xmpmeta>...' XML stuff) remains in the resulting
file.
I also tried version 0.27.5-3 from unstable with the same result.
If desired I can provide a test file, but it's quite trivial to
build one with GIMP and its metadata editor.
