Hi John! I saw your request to join the team some days ago, but sadly I
have been too busy. You might already been accepted in the meantime...

However we normally ask non DDs to work with us with merge requests before
giving commit access. Have you been working with someone from the team? Or
maybe you intend to work on a specific extra/3rdparty package?
