yes a good idea - I'll put in on my TODO list.

Okay.

So let's start :)
You properly did not read our git guidelines :)
https://qt-kde-team.pages.debian.net/gitguidelines.html

(Sorry, but you have to start again, as the two patches are to tangled, keep
them in another branch, so you can view the diff to check if everything is
included)

* Remember to split upstream commits from work in debian directory. Currently
upstream updates are done in upstream branch. To catch up you first need to
merge the upstream branch with upstream/0.9.1. Than merge the 1.0.0 into
upstream branch and tag this with upstream/1.0.0.
There is a command to do the last two steps: gbp import-orig PATHTO/
tarbal.tar.gz
* You need also to import the release 0.9.1-2 ( as those tag is missing).
(use dget https://deb.debian.org/debian/pool/main/k/kup-backup/kup-backup_0.9.1-2.dsc; gbp import-dsc PATHTO/DSC
* Any change in debian dir should directly end up in changelog entry.
* Update Maintainer in d/control to the team address
Debian Qt/KDE Maintainers <debian-qt-kde at lists.debian.org>
* Add yourself to the uploaders list

Feel welcome to join #debian-qt-kde if you like to get faster responses, but
keep in mind, that we are currently facing the freeze in less than five weeks
no new packages is allowed to enter testing. That means a lot people
including me is busy to get thing ready for trixie. Please do not be sad if we
don't manage it to update kup for trixie.

Regards,

hefee
