[Pkg-libburnia-devel] BR-RE blank disk - Pioneer BDR-2208 - initial format fails

Hi,

it turned out that the inquired info about the drive's formatting
capabilities was used only in one of two code pieces where this
matters. cdrskin -blank=as_needed ran through the neglected one.

xorriso -format "as_needed" and its automatic formatting before
writing are not affected because they do not try to enable
media certification.


I have now committed a fix for this bug as

and uploaded a cdrskin development snapshot
  http://scdbackup.webframe.org/cdrskin-1.2.9.tar.gz
To be built by
  tar xzf cdrskin-1.2.9.tar.gz
  cd cdrskin-1.2.9
  ./configure && make
  cdrskin/compile_cdrskin.sh -g
It can then be used without installation as
  ./cdrskin/cdrskin ...options...

Now my Optiarc drive gets not bothered any more with unsupported
requests for media certification.
I expect the same to happen on the Pioneer drive of Jack Dodds.


After this has been confirmed, i propose to patch this bug fix into
the libburn-1.2.2 that is distributed by Debian testing.
