Bug#779016: clang-3.7: offer alternatives for clang (and related tools, respectively)

Package: clang-3.7
Version: 1:3.7~svn227076-1
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

I wonder why the clang-3.x tools do not offer alternatives (in terms
of "update-alternatives") so that the user can specify which version
to use by default. Installing "clang" defines clang-3.5 to be used.
That's why I only installed clang-3.7 and started a script [1] that
installs all alternatives.

This also makes it easier to use features like the address sanitizer
that uses llvm-symbolizer (see the comment in [1]).
