I can reproduce this by copying a folder from a USB drive to a folder in my
home directory.
At the end of the copy, pcmanfm closes by itself.
Dmesg reports the following:
[ 1820.646769] pcmanfm[3835]: segfault at 18 ip 00007f2ebbe9d82e sp
00007ffca57589e0 error 4 in libfm.so.4.0.3[7f2ebbe83000+47000]

The USB drive is mounted read-only.

I'm attaching a backtrace as well.
