Just one more tidbit of information. I don't know popcon is realiable
(probably not much), but according to http://popcon.debian.org/by_inst
(6MB):

#<name> is the package name;
#<inst> is the number of people who installed this package;
#<vote> is the number of people who use this package regularly;
#<old> is the number of people who installed, but don't use this package
#      regularly;
#<recent> is the number of people who upgraded this package recently;
#<no-files> is the number of people whose entry didn't contain enough
# information (atime and ctime were 0).
#rank name inst vote old recent no-files
184   ispell            12394  5827  4507  2054     6
250 libaspell15         10972  5957  2203  2510   302

Apparently ispell is already being replaced by aspell (see active users),
but I am afraid the reports of ispell's death are greatly exaggerated and
premature.

Best,

Matěj
