Hi folks,

I live in Portland and, if I can manage to keep steam going on
macfanctld long enough, was hoping to go to our (very large) Free Geek
and start testing macfanctld on various hardware. They usually have a
large supply of Macs in various states of usability in the Apple area.

I would like to start volunteering there again anyway, so once my
relationship is reestablished there I can likely talk to somebody when
the time comes to test program X, Y or Z on a range of Apple hardware.

I'm also very supportive of having Mac support in the installer.

I own an iMac6,1 and one of the polycarbonate Core 2 Duo Macbooks. We
are forced to use Linux on them even if we like OS X as these models are
abandoned by Apple and do not receive security updates.

I've got more to say but I need to do some suggested reading first,
thank you Thibaut.

Best,
-Gordon M.
