Or even better:

Use a >= clause in libmate-desktop-2-17.shlibs.

Currently this is just:

libmate-desktop-2 17 libmate-desktop-2-17

which is odd, because mate-terminal has this in the control file:

   libmate-desktop-dev (>= 1.14)

but the shlibs file does not ensure that the resulting dependency
(via dpkg-shlibdsp) is also >= 1.14 on libmate-desktop-2-17.


I would call this the real underlying bug in this little mess, not Britney.
