Bug#828158: Mate 1.14.1 (Gtk 3.20.6-1) no colors in Home folder

I am sorry, but I do not understand. 
If the GTK 3 is the wrong package in this occasion, does it mean that I must switch to GTK 2 and wait until the Mate team repairs this bug? It seems as they did not provide a concrete reply to my question, the problem is still there. I cannot see what am I missing here. Could you help me, please?
