eiciel works with latest Nautilus on Sid so removing is not required. 
eiciel doesn't work with Caja, only with Nautilus whereas caja-eiciel 
only works with Caja, not Nautilus. So the two packages seems needed.

Do you have reported the issue against caja-eiciel on Github?
