I must agree with Gunnar. The self-ironic is fine in the original context (forging), but not in the package descriptions.

self-ironic description from the meta
package mate-desktop-environment that has been
provided on the
upstream package site so
far [1].
If you feel we
should change that, please file a bug report against
that package in Debian.
