[Pkg-mozext-maintainers] sideloading extensions in firefox

Hi all,

did anyone see this: https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2019/10/31/firefox-to-discontinue-sideloaded-extensions/ ?

If my understanding is correct, we will not be able to distribute extensions to
firefox at all in the near future. Well, we can distribute them, but they will
not work. Or do I misunderstand something?
