[Pkg-mozext-maintainers] Resetting extension.lastAppVersion

For some reason in the past few versions, when I update Firefox, my tree-style-tab extension automatically breaks, and none of its UI elements are visible including in the menu. (The extension is still listed as enabled in the addons list.)

Somehow in the dark mists of my memory I remembered something random, and tried deleting the extension.lastAppVersion (and lastAppBuildId and lastAppPlatformVersion) config values (via about:config) and this worked to unbreak tree-style-tab again.

Does anyone know why this happens, and have you experienced it with another extension?
