you probably have seen some temporary status, currently there is no such
dependency and wasent before the upload of Thunderbird 78.4.1.
The whole thing Thunderbird currently is not migrating to testing is
related to the autopkgtest of jsunit, which itself is "just" a testing
framework to ensure that enigmail is working correctly. But now the
version of jsunit is to old for the current version of enigmail and
would needed to get an update. Or the RT decides to ignore these tests.

That's unpredictable in my eyes, it's the job of the release team (in my
opinion) to coordinate the things here, I'm not responsible for jsunit
and/or enigmail nor  have I interest to work on these packages.

It's now about a month ago I filed a unblock request for thunderbird but
until today no member of the RT has written some comment on this.

I think it would have been better to let enigmail die and remove it from
testing instead now create more work that needs to be done. That's not
how I see we care about the users first.
