Thundebird can't migrate to testing but goes into stable without the
needed Add-Ons. Neither einigmail 2.2 nor other add-ons ccana go the
same way into stable.

Without having the packages in testing it is not possible to get them
into backports. Even though backports isn't the right place for that
kind of bug fixes.

But at this time all users of Thunderbird using any add-on have now a
broken Thundrbird.

My Proposal in such situation:

Either all maintained extensions can got insto stable vie the same
mechanism as Thunderbird (security)

Or it must be possible to get the new upstream version of those add-on
directly via proposed-updates into stable updates.

Normally these are poackages which no packages depend on.

Kind regards

Kind regards
