Thanks for the poke, I missed that.
I agree with your assessment there about overengineering and did see the
upstream discussion.
Would you or someone else give me commit access [1]? You may like to assess my
BTS history in addition to Salsa [2]. If that's a little too soon I could send
merge requests, but wonder if that might be awkward for each of the three
branches.
This weekend I will dig more in that upstream discussion and assess whether
upstream's changes are all suitable for Debian stable.
