I haven't heard something from Daniel nor seen any feedback from him in
the referenced bug report about updating enigmail in unstable in the
past days.

But the next version of Thunderbird (78.3.0) is planned to get released
on 22th of September which is next week. So I'm thinking about some kind
of a second plan to get the current Thunderbird ESR version into
unstable and finally to testing soon.

There is always the possibility that users can install the enigmail
AddOn from the official Mozilla Add-on website. For unstable I think
this strategy is o.k., later for the update into stable for sure we
should really ensure that enigmail is available as a Debian package.
Unfortunately we are in quite the same situation as we were at updating
Thunderbird from 60.x to 68.x in the past.

And there is also some outstanding work for the Debian wiki site of
Thunderbird and also for the NEWS file. I appreciate any contributions.

If no serious objections get raised about targeting the upload of 78.3.0
into unstable I will proceed this way. I'm currently not sure if I will
get all the work done until the next weekend due some heavy work load on
my day job. So enough time for raising your hands. ;)
