AFAIU it is not possible to build an non-optimized shared library at
all on PPC? Any news on this front?
However, this sound like a bunch of cruft work that I'll happily leave

Hm, well, Marillats newer packages allready do the Conflicts and are
thus fixed in this regard. Is this really our problem?

WTF? Rename the tarball again?
I hope this is both to get rid of the misleading '-free' suffix and to
prepare the upload of an unstripped tarball named 'ffmpeg', right?
