ffmpeg status?

The comment is obsolete. The current package in testing has altivec
disabled.

well, it leads into that direction, yes. However we still need to
communicate this with debian ftpmasters first before actually
uploading. Nevertheless, I plan on working on such a package, but rather
called 'ffmpeg-risky', as discuss previously on this mailing list. The
'ffmpeg' called source package would then indicate
http://debian-multimedia.org as origin.

As you might have noticed, I've started to use bzr-svn when working on
the last upload. It worked fairly well and helped me a lot to test
and develop things independently, e.g. the ubuntu version of the ffmpeg
package. I plan to continue this way, and have the 'ffmpeg-risky' source
package as branch of the current one. Too bad that svn doesn't play
decently when it comes to merging, though...
