Absolutely agreed. In this case the upstream doesn't use the name
"debian" for his packaging directory, but rather "debian-sid", so as a
matter of fact there's no debian/ directory in orig.tar.gz. This is
sub-optimal, but, if the upstream can't be convinced to do otherwise,
still acceptable. As mentioned, I would try to ask him to remove it,
though.
