Probably not, no, I don't think so.

The full source is already contained in the branch, so no need to fetch
it from the upstream svn. I imagine that the script would not even
bother to create a source package (but could be easily extended to do so).

If for some reason we were forced to remove the unstripped source from
git.debian.org, then I would probably refactor get-orig-source so that
(at least) parts of it would end up in the package. But never mind this,
I don't think this would be a problem anyway.
