It would be great if Christian (Marillat) would again introduce an own
SONAME, this would avoid these problems in the first place.

Actually, this line should be added to VLC, I think. I still wonder why
vlc breaks with a newer ffmpeg.

At some point, I intend to have a newer ffmpeg in experimental. At this
point, this trouble will hit as again.

What I'd prefer was a check in libavcodec's prerm that screams terribly
if it detects an upgrade to a non-debian version.
