TBH, I think putting it to collab-maint, and asking both debian-mentors
and here for sponsoring might make most sense. I think collab-maint
might be more inviting to developers that are not familiar with
pkg-multimedia, while it makes clear that team pkg-multimedia is not
really in a good position to actively maintain the package.

I want to avoid the situation that users start filing bugs about the
package that need to be verified on actual hardware, which none of us
owns. Users rightfully will expect us to give qualified response on
problems with the library.
