right. i checked and the problem seems to be the switch from "pd" to
"puredata" (to allow multiple flavours of Pd to be installed side-by-side).

the [declare -lib extra/iem_ambi] will actually search in
> /usr/lib/puredata/extra/iem_ambi
whereas the libraries are really installed in
> /usr/lib/pd/extra/iem_ambi

i'll check the puredata package.

in the meantime i've updated pd-iemambi (added README.Debian, added a
helper-abstraction to lower the requirements on the non-existant pd-iemlib)
