Synthv1 is currently split into two packages - ui and engine, but the the UI 
is not visible. falkTX from the KXStudio distro fixed it this way:

"ok, found the issue.
the new version of these plugins install the UI files separate from the plugin 
ones, so I needed to modify the install path to the proper /usr/lib instead of 
/usr/lib64 in there as well."
