Hi Breno,

thank you for your patch regarding allowing libav to build on
debian/ppc64el in Debian.

What is the problem? Doesn't ppc64el in Debian support altivec at all?

It seems Ubuntu doesn't disable altivec at all:
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libav/6:10.2-2/+build/6199083

In fact, it seems in ubuntu the package builds with altivec just fine:
https://launchpadlibrarian.net/180375817/buildlog_ubuntu-utopic-ppc64el.libav_6%3A10.2-2_UPLOADING.txt.gz

Why is that?

regards,
Reinhard
